Officina del libro 2026

Officina del libro was a collective residency that took place at the Mondovì Printing Museum between 7 and 13 September 2026.

Nine participants were selected through a public call. The tutors were Archivio Tipografico and Sonia Gavazza. Participation in the residency was free.

Through a collective and shared design method, the group of participants imagined, designed, and produced 30 copies of a poetry publication.

The Officina del Libro program included in-depth studies on various artisanal disciplines: typesetting, monotype production, letterpress printing, and bookbinding.

Each moment of in-depth study was linked to a production phase, during which the book was actually composed, printed, and bound thanks to the sharing of ideas, methods, and manual labor.

During the week, a cultural presentation of the book “Alphabeti Modernisti Italiani” by Luca Lattuga, published by Lazy Dog Press, was proposed.
