“Il pazzo del faro” is one of the countless stories written by Emilio Salgari, now distributed under an open Creative Commons license. It was originally published in “Il Giornalino della Domenica”.

The story takes place entirely on an island, a rock that emerges from the Atlantic south of Nova Scotia. On the islet stands a lighthouse, manned by the Guardian and his daughter. One night a sudden and impetuous storm breaks out along the coast which will put the resistance and lucidity of the two to the test.

The edition we edited was entirely composed in movable type and printed with a flatbed cylinder press, the printed text is completed by three original engravings by Marco Tallone. The book and engravings together form a true artistic edition, completely edited and produced by Archivio Tipografico with Marco Tallone.
