Art from the Italian resistance movement
Art from the Italian resistance movement
Poster silkscreened by laboratorio zanna dura and printed with movable type by Archivio Tipografico. This poster is part of the Partigiani della pace project, which draws inspiration from the eponymous movement that, between the 1940s and 1950s, saw partisan fighters refocus on the role of the artist, which they considered essential to advancing history. The illustration is freely adapted from a work by Renato Guttuso. All posters are also on sale at the Circolo Arci Banfo in Turin at the starting price of €25, to which you can add a donation to support the project. All proceeds from the sale will go towards launching a call for artists to create a poster art residency for the upcoming Italian Liberation Day.
